Profits at ATN fall 39%

TORONTO – After numerous quarters of healthy profits, Asian Television Network International (ATN) saw its second quarter net income fall 39%.

The broadcaster reported that net income for the period ended June 30 was $944,071, down sharply from $1.56 million in the same period last year.  Operating revenue dropped 8% from $6.95 million to $6.36 million year-over-year, while income from operation plunged 45% from $2.25 million to $1.24 million.

ATN serves Canada's diverse cultural communities with 34 premium specialty television channels.
